Our Mission
The Crowns Project was created as well... a project. A project where I sat down and thought about how I can most effectively use my gifts and talents to reach the largest number of people possible with the message of Christ. It also serves as an entrepreneurial opportunity that gives me the chance to chase my dreams and encourage others to do the same along the way.
The driving force behind Crowns is the all-out war that is being waged against masculinity in my beloved United States of America, where we are seeing families fall apart and the entire nation collapsing due to weak leadership from men who are the product of a society that has lost contact with the divine. Being a man, and particularly a newly married, hopefully soon-to-be father, I saw this set of societal problems as an opportunity to research what Christianity says it means to be a man, and how that definition can be applied to the unique opportunity of being an American.
The main pillars of Crowns are built around what I enjoy, what I have experience with, and what I think the average American could use healthy doses of: fitness, defense, and faith.
Fitness
Our bodies are one of the most precious gifts that we have received; it is the vehicle we use to navigate God's glorious creation, and it's the least we can do to take good care of it during our time here. Both men and women have their own reasons for wanting to be physically fit. A fit woman will give birth to a healthier baby, deliver her baby easier, and recover quicker after giving birth than her out-of-shape counter-part. With men, we are designed to be protectors, providers, and we are meant to bring stability to a household; these responsibilities of being a man cannot be upheld without being strong. It also cannot be overlooked the research that suggests physical activity leads to increased levels of dopamine and a myriad of other health benefits to go along with bigger muscles.
Defense
I've been shooting since I was 3 years old, competing since I was 8, I took my first small-unit tactics class when I was 14, this stuff is in my blood, and to say it's a passion of mine would be an understatement. Christian men are defenders. Defenders of their families, of their countries, of the poor, of the weak, and of their faith. In this physical world, that defense has a high likelihood of involving a firearm, and understanding how to use one should be a requirement for children in school as far as I'm concerned.
Firearms/tactics instruction and gun culture will occupy a significant portion of Crowns content and apparel, mainly because it's probably my biggest passion, but also because I feel it's one of the most important, and most misunderstood skills that everyone should have. I hope to create a catalogue of knowledge containing everything I know about firearms, from how to make them go bang, to how to react when you hear a bump in the night. I want to encourage open dialogue about our freedoms as Americans and how they interact with the Christian faith, specifically the use of firearms for defense on a societal level.
Faith
Faith is the foundation of The Crowns Project, what it's all about. Implementing the Christian faith into our content is something that I take very seriously and will not be approached from a strictly educational angle. James 3:1 states that teachers of the faith will be judged at a higher level, and I am not in the position to act as a teacher, though I will gladly share my experience and point to aspects of the faith, both scriptures and teachings, that I know to be correct and useful for those who are interested in listening.
Spiritual additions to our content will span from social media posts, to dedicated videos covering various topics, to including scripture at the end of every video regardless of the video's topic.
